Photo Competition 2024

Bumblebee in Flight by Guann-Yeu Chin

ENTRY HAS NOW CLOSED – come and see all submitted entries on 15th June in the HQ Tent!

Competitions have long been part of the Melbourn Fete, and we’re bringing back the Photo Competition for 2024!

The theme for 2024 is….

Interpret that how you will… An example might be something like the image above by our resident photographer and judge, but we encourage you to find creative interpretations…. You can submit an image you have already taken, or even better, go out there and shoot something new!

There will be two age categories: Junior (15 years old and younger) and Senior (16 years old and older).

Images will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Impact
  • Lighting
  • Composition
  • How much beer you buy the judge

We will print and display as many entries as we can for visitors to enjoy, and move to a digital display of images if we run out of space…

Winners will take home a cash prize and a coveted Melbourn Fete gold medal! Altogether now…’Ooooooooooooh!’

To enter, please submit your image via email to by Wednesday 5th June, and please make sure you’ve read through the conditions of entry below. Good luck and we look forward to seeing your amazing images!
