The aim of the Melbourn Fete is to bring the village together, to have fun, socialise and raise money for local groups. Each year the committee organises the day so that local clubs, societies and charities can set-up stalls and provide entertainment to help with their fundraising. All proceeds are put back into the community. Over the last few years we have donated over £30,000 to local groups.
Use this website to find out more about us: what we do, why we do it, who helps us and what you can do to lend a hand. Wed love to hear from anyone who would like to get involved as a volunteer on the day, or join the committee.
Also check out the photos from previous year's Melbourn Village Fete and Music on the Moor.
The first Melbourn Fete was started in 1986, and the event ran for 10 years. It then stopped for 5 years, before starting again in 2003. Music on the Moor first made an appearance in 2009; 2016 was its last year. Every year the Melbourn Fete goes from strength to strength, with more attractions, bands and stalls. Come along and join us this year to see what it's all about!
